A trio of New Plymouth artists have been selected as finalists in a record-breaking year of entries for a national drawing award.

Harry Moores, Briar Tucker and Pantea Rastegari are among 80 hopefuls in the running for the 2021 Parkin Drawing Prize, which has a major prize of $25,000.

The national competition attracted 563 entries, the highest number since 2014 – a year after the prize launched.
